Friday 28th June saw a momentous occasion at Venables Brothers Ltd.
Andy Smith, our long standing accountant retired after over 28 years working for Chuck and Paul Venables.
Andy is the first employee to retire at Venables Brothers.
Andy first joined Henry Venables in the 1980’s, working for Chuck and Pauls Father – Richard Venables.
Richard retired a few years after and the Venables batten was passed to brothers Chuck and Paul.
Through a shared worth ethic and sense of humour (!) they got through the first 10 years trading, often in challenging times. This developed a strong bond between them all and a strong friendship too.
In 1999 Henry Venables went into receivership and Paul and Chuck then set up Venables Brothers, asking Andy to once again join them as accountant.
Andy has played a huge part in getting Venables Brothers where it is today.
Chuck, Paul and all at Venables wish Andy the happiest and well earned of retirements and thank him for his support and help.
He hands the Accounts over to Alex Downes who we know will step into his shoes well!
